Just spotted one of my old LC riding hooligan mates on telly. It's nice
to see he's done OK for himself, having risen to become one of our local
Trafpol. I wonder what his mates would think about some of his youthful
    motorcycling exploits?

I await his flashing blue lights with interest :)

  2. Poachers and gamekeepers. If he nicks you he'll probably throw the book
at you. Ever read/see A Clockwork Orange?
Might be worth mentioning if he does:) But the chances are that his
mates did similar things in their youths I feel.

This could be apocryphal. Someone told me about it at a wine tasting (a
bit more up market than in the pub, eh? Same thing really). There was a
bike club on the Isle of Wight called "PC69". The name was derived from
the number of the only motorcycle cop on the island. He would approach
groups of local bikers and say "OK lads, you head off "that way", I'll
give you a couple of minutes start and follow. So we can have a good
race and I'll say I was chasing you but couldn't catch you".

    Cheers, Ian
