Any views on good/bad companies to insure a 2004 Blackbird, value £7k, 8k
miles per year. 39 year old male, clean licence, passed test in '83 but only
2 yrs NCB (born again!). Last two years on a 1200 Bandit.

So far looking around £400 TPFT!! FFS...............Bennetts

I just got the Gixer Thou insured with Carol Nash. Similar stats to
you. They were cheaper than Bennetts.

Mark emerged from their own little world to say
you don't mention your postcode - that could be the going rate for your
    area

    google for ebikeinsurance

they gave me a very cheap quote - 30% less than CNash

If you are going to take the bike overseas then check their territorial
limits will cover you. They only cover EU so Andorra, Suisse etc are not
    covered.

They are based in Gibraltar. This may or may not be a good thing. Search
google groups for a variety of opinions. They have a UK office staffed by
real people as they are paying to advertise on a website operated by an
    acquaintance.

Hah. My insurance rocketed upwards from the 'bird to the 12R. Bloody
fearsome insurance rating. He should count himself lucky ;)
