Anyone fancy meeting up at the Black Horse this sunday?

I've a hankering for a ride out on the bike and good food & company!

    Good food? Company?

I'd just go for good company. Incidentally, the Black Horse has good
beer - a very good thing - but that's about it.

Eh? Mu always turns out a good meal if you visit.

Obviously not enough cold cabbage soup and beetroot for some people's
    tastes

It's difficult to find a really interesting route there from Bedford
and even though Mu lays on a decent meal it's not worth a 200 mile
round trip afaic. If I was going to head off in any direction for a
decent ride and a Sunday lunch it'd be west from home.

The other thing is that I'm sure Adie said that Jackie posted on face
book she was going on Sunday but Frag hasn't mentioned her so I might
    be wrong.

Andy Bonwick took a blunt brush and painted...
To where? 200 miles west is in Wales.
    Wrong about what?

Jackies at mine for the weekend and we were going to go up to the BH and meet
a few others there for lunch, but me being the lazy buger I am, didn't get up
in time, so it's dinner at a local pub round MK and off for a ride on the FOT
    or Dunstable Downs or summat.

Obviously you missed the words 'round trip' but 100 miles west from
home would take me through the Cotswolds on roads that I know fairly
    well and enjoy riding on.
I'd assumed that if she was going you'd have said so and the face book
    post was out of date.
    Whatever.

My experience of the Black Horse food has been quantity not quality.
uckiWhenever I attended a B/EOSM it was for the event not for the fine
dining. Which, IME, was just as well.

Fair enough, we all enjoy riding roads we know. Exactly what I did today.
It was just a quick post seeing if anyone else fancied meeting up there.
