Bl**dy 'L - this seems very cheap for an RE-5?

  1. You didn't state it as opinion. You didn't state it as a question - "Can
you still get these bits?". You implied, hard and fast, that those three
    compoments were unobtainable.

And when I expressed mild surprise, you didn't correct me then, either.

And now you complain because your nearest Yamaha dealer is 15 miles
    away.

You want bits, you travel to a shop to buy them. Or you buy mail order.

And I suspect it's unlikely I'll ever meet her.

  3. Bollocks you did.

    Let's recap, shall we?

I said: "The Japanese *understood* customer satisfaction and built a
    superb parts operation."

*You* said: "Want to find a brand new chainguard, left hand side panel
(red) and exhaust pipe for my RXS100? Thought not."

That comment of yours does not refer to expense at all. Nor even hassle.
It implies that the bits are hard (or impossible) to get. Clue - the
    word 'find'.

If that's not what you meant, then might I suggest a course in English
    comprehension.
Oh, God..... Work it out for yourself. If you have the machinery.
No. It's not. It's making you look a prat, which - to be honest - is
necessary if it has the benefit of you recognising the fact and either
    (a) fucking off for good or (b) adopting a different stance.

I'm in Stafford and the tyres are about the only good thing on the bike.

Just so you know what you would be letting yourself in for:

Just about every bit of metal has some sort of corrosion, the forks need
rebuilding, the brakes need sorting, the bikes running on pre-mix due to
problems with an oil feed pipe from the pump and the battery's
knackered. Oh and it needs an MOT and Tax.
