I'm trying to think when I bought mine..... must have been around 2001
or 2002. Yes, you're probably right. Time flies, etc. Still not bad,
    though.

I bought the then-black, now-blaneyed one via you in August 2001, just
before we moved here permanently, and they'd stopped doing them before
    then.
Oh, not bad at all. They're a great bunch.

I thought it was Lady Docker running off with the money that should have
been invested that was the nail in the coffin.

You're as bad as each other. Lozzo not *all* British old bikes are shit
and not everything from "the land of the rising Yen" is perfect. I've
owned total crap from both places.

  6. Have you actually asked a Yamaha dealer if they're deleted? Just asking,
like. I'd be surprised if a bike than was in production for about 15
years, and only dropped a few years ago, has its exhausts filed under
    "unobtainable".

There again, two-stroke exhausts are only really replaced for "tuning"
reasons or if the biike is pranged, because they don't rot through the
    way four-stroke exhausts do.

Haven't asked, but then I don't need one.
I have an RXS100 exhaust pipe with a hole in it, for what reason I do
not know. I wouldn't be surprised if mine went the same way soon. I
don't think there is a RXS100 exhaust pipe in existence with any chrome
    left on it.

I was going on what I read. I didn't state it as fact, or I'd have said
it was a fact. You really are hell-bent on taking the piss, aren't you?

The Dockers were ousted considerably earlier and the amount of
money was exaggerated anyway, That was when BSA still owned
Daimler. By the way people can criticise the quality of the BSA
small bikes but it was the Japanese inroads into the US market
that was critical and the yanks were not buying small bikes.
