I thought I'd seen it before, but couldn't place it... the only thing
ringing a slightly spurious bell, is it might have been a 'Readers Special'
    in Performance Bikes.

    Am I right?

If so, I claim my five pounds.

I saw a bloke arrive on this bike, he got off, and went straight to Rikers cafe.

Among other things it had a digital display which counted the number
    revolutions the engine had made.

I had a good look around it and conluded that it was based on a GSX1100,
though I could have been wrong.

After a quick cuppa, he came back, got on, and pissed off.

Looks very similar to something I saw in PB way back when, a poor man's
suzuki Nuda made up of lots of car filler.

Why aren't ducati making sexy bikes like this instead of crap like the 996?

My eyes went first to the front end, checking for funny suspension, 'cos my
first thought was that it was some variant on the Foale QL.

Did it take you seven years to get the film developed?

  13. Because the majority of poofs that ride Ducatis wouldn't be seen dead on
it except maybe as a perverse entry to a freak show and even then I
doubt if they'd be interested in how it was built. They're probably far
too interested in buying hair gel and spending £30 a bottle on something
that a squirt of lemon fairy will do for 5p.

yeah, I've seen it. Wouldn't buy it though, as I wouldn't want to be
marked out in public as a reader of Popbitch.

Anyway, the HIGNFY person with the regular delivery of Russian whores
    - gotta be Merton, no?

<googles> That's just weird. Very vorlonesque. The Q2 is quite dinky
    in an 80s fashion.

They did a series on the building of the QL in MCS in the mid-80s. At the
time, I thought of it as "Moby Sperm"...
