No, no - low EQ doesn't mean you have limited emotions; it means that
you are less able to 'read' signals in others. To make the point -
one of the nicest, warmest, most generally lovable people on ukrm got
an EQ score < 10.

My understanding is that no one else has managed to demonstrate the
link shown in the original paper, and the "science" in the original
paper is suspect at best. Also, see Simian's post (which seems mostly

I probably wouldn't be quite so involved if it weren't for actually
witnessing the change that came over a friend's infant very soon after the
MMR. Sure, it could be a fluke, but this was before everyone started a
hoo-haa about it - and at that time in my mind it seemed obvious - and
shocking.
