You can still buy them in kit form from someone, I forget who, but they
    do still have a following.

Which "we" is that then considering you are nowhere near Brum?

The camera was just next to the red circle of the speed indication. I
don't think that the opening for the lens was much more than 6" by 6".
If you didn't know it was there I think it could have been easy to miss.
No advance warning signs at all.

Flawed comparison as fngerprinting is only used for elimination
purposes then the records are destroyed unless guilt is proved.
There is currently no compulsory fingerprinting of the entire
    nation.
That's a rather nasty attempt at emotional blackmail. In fact
while the police were chasing innocents like myself the real
killer went on to commit many more child murders over the next
few years. I admit to being most concerned for myself as it came
during a personal low point. I learned an important lesson that
day, that in such circumstances it's safer not to cooperate with
the police. Today I'd call my brief first and say nothing.
Erm.. if you'd think a little you would see it *is* part of my
original point. Misused technology in official hands is a
liability to the public. The CSA case is a prime example directly
leading to many cases of desperate poverty and child deprivation.
Only a computer stands between them and the money they are
entitled to and so desperately need.
Ok. I do support reasonable govt action to combat those issues.
My comment was tinged with sarcasm to illustrate the way those
same issues are used as a smoke screen to disguise the
introduction if unpopular legislation. Like ID cards for example.

I've no doubt that you understood that all along but had an
attack of the awkwards immediately prior to posting your
non-question ("So you see prevention of the above as some HMG
    should not do?").

Aachen was on the A4 between Cologne and Brussels last time I was
there, nowhere near the same bit of road.

As currently there is not mandatory recording of any personal metrics
    the comparison is valid.
Guilty conscience or an irrational desire to talk to your underwear?
Tricky the way you keep snipping context and switching topics.
Wrong. It would be a policy, protocol, procedure or person.
So we reach the nub. You are spouting crap. Contradicting yourself is
not going to win you any support in your deranged ramblings. You are on
the verge of joining a select community in my kill-file as a troll.
Unpopular with who? I haven't reached a decision whether I am pro or
    anti.
No. I just thought you were in need of a little help trying to keep to
    the subject you initially raise.

Could be so, geography is not my forte. However there are cameras on the
    autobahn.

In relation to my duff geography I was making a journey from Frankfurt
to Brussels, so as far as I was concerned it was the same road.

Oh btw have a look here

    http://home.att.net/~texhwyman/regeln.htm

where it says, "Beware of enforcement cameras. Germany probably uses
such cameras more than anyone else. Automatic cameras are stationed to
catch speeders and red-light violators. Sometimes an obscure sign will
warn you of the existence of such a camera, but it's usually too late by
    then."

    or perhaps here

    http://www.german-way.com/german/autopol.html

where it says, "Along certain stretches of autobahn or highway
(Bundesstraße), usually in high-traffic areas, special radar-linked
police cameras are stationed over the roadway ready to take a revealing
snapshot of you and your car at any time of the day or night."

    Your apology will be accepted.

Ferger emerged from their own little world to say
No. I'd never work in Welwyn Garden City.

I did spend 7 weeks there in 1990. Training on some test equipment whilst
650 people, shortly to be made redundant, glared. I think they may have
    agreed with you.

    Based on reading your posts.
No, it's the unsubstantiated nature of the information within your
posts and their fascist tone that gets my hackles up.
Because you have shown you can't/won't answer simple questions about
the stuff you are churning out as fact.

OK last chance or you hit the kill file - your statement 'each arrest
takes 3 weeks of a police officers time' - where did you get that
    piece of information?

.....but they only let me have the blunt, plastic stuff.
After the 'accident', I can't say that I blame them ;-)

btw - sorry I sent this to your email addy by mistake.
They shouldn't let me use this thing late at night.
