This whole straight thing seems terribly easy.
    I'll keep counting.

  2. In uk.rec.motorcycles, BGN amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
If I was still despatching I might have offered you something IRO £400
    :)
The lady I got was telling the passers by to **** off and mind their own
business and I was moaning on the pavement.
How the **** you you have time to heal?

???? I'm 198 cm / 110 kg and bike size is not that
big a problem. Dragging that plus an overweight bike
    trough the woods is.

The whole subject of what is and isn't a 'bin' has been done several
times over the years. Do a search and you'll find that Nick didn't
'bin' his bike, he merely slung it gently down the road and
    (thankfully) got away with it.

I already get through 40 a day, but the packet was crushed during the
roll. The iRiver is fine though, it was blasting The Wind Beneath My
Wings into my head during the incident and didn't even miss a beat.

    Clumsy ****.
She was probably grateful you collapsed. If you'd got onto the bike
successfully, she might have felt obliged to attempt to dissuade you.
Bollocks. Chicks dig guys who are in touch with their emotions.

No chance. FBOTY has to break the bike/rider doesn't it? i.e. a proper
    bin.

They're lovely. One still gets cold fingers after a while but they do
    stop the wind a lot.
The rear wheel looks fine (in that it faces the right direction much
like it did last week) and the torque arm is still attached and
    straight.

  13. Not again you clumsy numpty.

    [snip]
    But get it checked out.
    Don't be such a drama queen - <aside to audience - what am I saying?>

You won't be the first or the last to do the old male bravado thing and
then come a cropper. Why do you imagine she suggested you sit down?
GWS and please stop chucking yourself off your bike and down the road.

I think you need to spend a bit of cash taking some advanced riding
lessons before something really serious happens.

Yeh, that's the thing, stopping the chill factor on the hands.
Hmm, dunno then. I'd be inclined to strip / grease / put back together
the rear brake just to check.
