    Hi all,

Anyone with experience to comment on the advantages of the newer
watercooled 650 over the original ancient motor ? I've got a 2003 model
and having no asperations for enhanced lunacy, fancy simply moving to a
    later model with ABS.

Did you come to join us because you thought you belonged in that 99%?
I'd wager that 99% of British motorcyclists have never even heard of

It is smoother, less vibey and has longer service intervals. The fuel
injection is very good. The ABS is there for 'OH SHIT' moments and doesn't
really affect normal braking in any noticeable way. The suspension has been
improved, as has the braking power.

On the downside, the gearbox is a little clunky in comparison. The bike is
    heavier, though not by much.

In short, its a Bandit. When my oil/air cooled 650 finally gets to the stage
where I'm looking for a replacement, I think I'd go the 1250 route. That is
    a stonking bike to ride.

  6. Here'sz another helpful reply given freely in the spirit of one (well,
many) chaps experience. Most of UKRM is very helpful in one way or
another. If your skin can't stand the prickles, then you need to grow a
thicker skin, or, let the door hit your arse on the way out, at least
we'll get a chuckle that way.

Do you actually have any sort of reading comprehension?

  9. No, I get a chuckle out of complete idiots digging themselves into a hole.
I'm not in a hole, and if you think this is UKRM at it's finest, you
probably should stick around longer or read the archives.

If you don't like it so much, why are you here? Is this the most fun you
