I've decided I need another bike and quite fancy a Bimota , something like an
    SB6.
Has anyone had one , and if so what did you think of it? Whats the spares
    situation like?

    Cheers

Ridden the KB3 & SB4 if that helps. Ancient now, but beautifully put
together for their time and lovely piece of kit. No idea about the spares -
chassis components were factory made, as were all the bolt on bits, I forget
what the forks were - all the electrics & switch gear etc etc were off the
donor bike [1], so it depends what gets broken.

[1] They couldn't just buy the engines at the time so they had to buy
complete bikes and sling the unwanted bits.

Steve scribbled on the back of a napkin:
    I've had one (a YB7, which I sold a few months back as I wasn't using
    it).

They're superbly engineered bikes and can be picked up cheaply at the
moment due to the spares uncertainty - I don't know what the current
status is but the last time I check North Leicester Motorcycles (the
current Bimota importer) couldn't get any parts for the older bikes as
the factory didn't have any due to going bankrupt and all that.

The consumables are usually easy to get as they're standard high-spec
Brembo etc blah blah, anything Bimota-specific isn't, some parts (like
YB7 wheels) are unobtainable and the rest will have to be shipped in
from remote corners of the world.
