Whoops.. too late Albert.. I just found out that you are wrong.. A subpoena
will require providers and ISP's to release a complete file on identities
who post.. It's being done every day by law enforcement who track computer
    fraud and other crimes..

Besides .. anyone who has staying on this crazy business already knows who
is behind the anonymous poster .. Noticeable. absence is causing a lot of
speculation.. either he's already caught and his account cancelled or he's
just taking a nap.. Who knows for sure, Albert ?

Just FYI, Bill, a "killfile" is not permanent, does not delete posts
(except from the user's local computer, and then only if the user
specifies that they be deleted) and does NOT prevent a user from going
back and reviewing posts that were killfiled or scorefiled at a later
time, if they wish to do so.

Typically, a killfile is used simply to make postings fitting the
killfile definition "not show up" or "appear to be invisible" or to
look as if they have "already been read by" the user of the killfile
    capability.

So, someone using a killfile on a certain poster has the capacity, if
sufficiently interested, to go back and read ALL the messages in a
thread, in a group, or from a poster, even those messages that were
    killfiled in the first place.

Thanks AZ Rider.. The killfile threat has seemed to really sustain and
embolden quite a few of the seven Live to Flame and Flame to Live heroes
that I've been engaged with.. LMAO..

Albert Nurick and me have quite an extensive history.. about the killfile
    business..

BTW... how are you enjoying your newsgroup, today.. I've really enjoyed some
of the civil exchanges with different guys on here.. See there.. every
thread doesn't have to descind to a flame war..

No, no. Straight from MSF HQ. All very legit. Well...as legit as it can be
    with Tim Buche as president.

hmmm.. Those humanitarian interests and all that "clever .. high profile
professional" qualifications should have at least caused you to consider
getting permission to use someone else's name for your "funny" little joke..

That is an accurate accounting of the State's provisions and their exclusion
for liability.. Even though I mistakenly referred to a secured government
site several times, the State is also interested in the obvious use or
misuse of that document.. That's for them to decide ..

If you notice.. I've neither confirmed nor denied the veracity of that
document.. Other than it is virtually an anonymous document and
misrepresented by the one who posted the link to it.. That much is evident
by his/her consistent referral to it throughout the day.. More interesting
... is the requirement by the State to furnish a valid e-mail address and
payment of three dollars.. Whew.. that seems to leave the door open and
leads directly to the anonymous poster..

The last time, a similar stunt was pulled on tx.motorcycles
The poster accused Bill Walker of being a "child molester" .. The
information furnished led to that Bill Walker, being a black man that
weighed something like 300 pounds, living at an address that I've never
heard of.. The poster in that one turned out to be John Moran, who posts as
Another Viewer.. The similarities in the two incidents .. the qualified
analysis of the resulting examination of his usenet addresses plus the
absence of John Moran, today causes me to speculate that he is also
    responsible for this performance, also..

Either way.. the outcome will be determined by someone other than me..
Thanks for the input AZ Rider.. 'preciate it..

IANAL either, but people on public streets have no right to privacy. Well
settled point of law, regardless of celebrity status.

DOJ could claim copyright, but that is for them to do, not Walker

As for defamation, in this country, the truth is an ultimate defense. That
is not the case in England and I believe Canada as well.

LOL.. Actually.. no attorney is necessary.. but that isn't the point,
anyway.. With all the attention and participation by so many, subpoenaes
have already been served on Internet America, Supernews and Cox.. whoever
that is.. Evidently . when documents of this type is used to embarrass or
humiliate someone .. The agency involved takes an official interest..

Yesterday.. we were all happily having so much fun and slamming the hell out
of each when it was interrupted with a deluge of incoming mail.. At first ..
I thought it must be some kind of continuation of our little usenet games..
I deleted some of the messages, only to have them reappear.. When I began to
read them, I realized that these e-mails were not the product of a bunch of
    newsgroup nitwits..

I was informed that accounts were being immediately cancelled .. I was
questioned off and on, most of the day.. I answered those questions and
we've seen the results of what was going on, with the absence of many of the
    players ..

It is almost six o'clock PM.. there has been virtually zero activity on
these groups, all day.. One of the players is still trying to justify or
bluster his way .. At this point .. I will be satisfied to take those people
who e-mailed me at their word.. They have evidently done just exactly what
    they described to me..

Never seen anything quite like this before.. Not qualified to go into all
the technical mumbo jumbo. or argue about with anyone.. Draw your own
    conclusions..

    Yeah, right
Bullshit...if its not DCMA based infringement, they have no reason to care
    since they are immune.
Your consensus seems to be mostly you and your idiot son. Nothing appears
to have been violated or compromised.

That's interesting.. hmmm Maybe she did need to.. Could be, that failing to
get the required consent caused her to take that website down..

Feel free to make the same mistake.. Some of these "imaginary lawyers" take
'em down real fast.. Or.. haven't you noticed how still it is around here..?

Why isn't your killfile working.. dude.. ?? You might ought to send up
some smoke signals or something.. When your friends do make it back online
... they will more than likely be on different ISP's and providers..

What the hell is your problem, anyway.. There's never been a post directed
    to you.. But.. feel free..

That settles that.. case closed.. Trouble is.. the "cheering section" isn't
in the bleachers and your juvenile legal interpretations aren't worth spit..
Man.. you aren't smart enough to use a computer, much less offer legal
