I think you'll find it was actually my beer I was drinking because you
hadn't been to the bar at this point and I'd purchased two beers for
myself then decided to let you borrow one.

But I've had loads of significant blows to the head and I'm fine...

They need to because KRC gave them out as if they were sweets at a
    kids party.

Apparently the 'trophies' were for turning up which is why the only
one worth having in my meagre collection is from Jurby when we
launched our first attack on the ixiots.

An enjoyable 3-day run through the Scottish Highlands with some
friends and colleagues from work; made me realise just how much my
    riding could be improved.

2 days at the Isle of Man TT, being paid to be there and not spending
a penny of my own money; thoroughly enjoyable for all sorts of
    reasons.

In the greater scheme of things I've done OK. I really wasn't moaning,
at least, not by my standards.

    time for a change.

  11. Shortest-lived New Bike Grin on record, that.

What's the news on the XT? The cunts smashed it up, then? Torched it?

I must admit, most weekends were spent doing things with bikes.
Some shows - a few rallies - a shitload of runs out.
There again, I find I'm not doing as many rallies as I used to, but on the
plus side, I seem to be spending more time on ride out days and camping
    weekends.

I rather enjoyed ( and still do ) the MZ I bought of TOG.
My "bottomless money pit" BSA B33 is coming along nicely now - I would even
be as brave as to say it will be on the road next year.

Aye, for the best part of it, 2008 rocked.

So, what about just legging it? Then circle round, hop on the bike, and
    offski.

Well yes, I think (or I would hope) that everyone realised that.

Perhaps I give people too much credit.

No news. When I phoned the pound and asked if they had a description of
the state of the bike when recovered the girl said "damaged all over".

I received a letter from Charlton Forensics pound saying it needed to be
removed by November the 29th and that'll be £150 plus £10 a day storage
due. Told the insurance company to deal with it and haven't heard a
    squeak from them since.

Since there is bugger all for sale similar to it just now, I've not
    chased them up.
