I only had one hand free, it had to be a redial, they had to be close,
they had to have a brain, a certain way with words, to be constructive
and they had to have considerable experience of overexcited women.

Only one man in the world is ever going to fill those boots )

    ROFL. He didn't - seriously?

Mind you, Bear's seen them all come and go, so he might be best placed
to offer condolences if nothing else.

hey, I've not actually met Bear in a few years, maybe he's had a
    triple personality bypass.

I can assure you Bear was spot on the ball as well as being close by.

No. Even if his heart had stopped[1], death is only said to occur when
there's no longer enough oxygen to keep the brain tissues alive.

[1] And if it had he'd have needed defibrillation, at the very least.

Quite. Perhaps lots of little deaths have the same effect.

I wouldn't be so sure. I doubt if she'll be there watching but what's
the point in stopping someone from doing something they really want to
    do?

He's probably already doing that by arranging his trophies so there's
a very obvious gap at the end.

Surely a very obvious gap in the middle that slowly closes up would be
    more appropriate?

He may have had that, you know.

Fortunately, he has some more saved up, ready for use.

Adrenaline does this. Even though it was insignifiant in the scale of
things I've a blank spot from when I got hit by that car in france. I
seem to recall being told I stood back up then fell over again, but
all I really remember is Bonwick drinking my beer, then me being in a
    very clean and empty hospital.

Christ knows how little I'd remember if I'd been dead.

well, it's a thinly disguised spelling flame from me (I presume Champ
meant to write "intubate") but I thought it was amusing enough to
    break my own LTSTP-RU attitude.
