It was when I was about that age that I firmly put all the religious
dogma I'd been carrying since childhood behind me. It was clear to me
that no fucker in the world, or out of it, was in the remotest bit
interested in looking after me, so I'd have to do it all by myself.
What would be the point of a god existing if it didn't take an
    interest?
No cats allowed in the office. Must've been the hangover, I guess,
although I felt OK this morning.

  2. I'm having one of those months where very little things will make me
very very angry (and I don't normally do angry at all!). Added to a job
that is slowly becoming less interesting and more stressful than it
used to be means I'm not my usual laissez-faire self.

There are times I hate my life and this month is one of them.

I'd say you're right too, but the Manc plod have been sued for damages
following some scrote coming off a bike while being chased. I doubt they
    want a repeat of that.
It's what the plod here do. Radio for assistance and give a projected route
(or guess I suppose) so an intercept can be worked out. Of course, scrotey
boy will probably scoot between cars formiong a road block or simply turn
off before he gets to the block. they're reet clever the scrotes oop 'ere:)

    If it was my
You and me both. I had a SOC lifted a couple of years ago, which was found a
couple of days later, almost undamaged. A small clft in the bonnet, but
other than that, nothing to worry about. If the thief had been chased, the
LAST thing he would consider was my SOC, so it would probably have died at
    the scene.
Yes, I believe you would, and I'd hope I would too, but I'm no riding god
and I'd probably bin it. I wonder if I could sue plod if I did? I'm sure
there's a lawyer prepared to give it a go:)

But you had that ulterior motive of spawning another bike rider. Most
parents want to keep their kids OFF bikes.

There was no way on earth Caz was going to stay away from bikes, so I
bought her safe ones and helped maintain them for her.

I applaud you sir. I'm already working on getting my 2 year old
grand-daughter interested in becoming a bike rider when she grows up and
she's hooked already. She currently can't say "Granddad" on its own and
always says "Granddad motorbike". She won't leave the house until she's sat
    on the bike either.

Number 1 son is not convinced it's a good thing, but then again, he drives a
    fucking Evo VI.

Bikes don't kill people, it's those immobile "somethings" that do.

    Kerbs and stuff.

That isn't a good enough reason for them not to give chase at all.

Haven't they got procedures now where they drop back, so the scrotes
don't panic too much and so slow down, and wait for a support chopper?

Name the place. I'm feeling a bit low right now, so you'd be doing me a
favour, but the price you'll pay may not be worth the joy of the moment.
