I can see the pleasure in doing that, but Plod doesn't have a sense of
humour, so he'd probably spew when you return to base.

I was with a pal and he's a very nice man who wouldn't want to upset the
    "flow".
Yeah, but could you REALLY put up with a sanctimonious **** lecturing you on
the finer points of road safety if you did?
    Paranoia is normal.

They were horrendously slow getting back to me with dates for our sojourn,
so much so, that I ended up ringing them and kick-starting things.

Apparently though, it doesn't really matter. If you've booked on line they
eventually get back to you, asking for the email addy's of all of the
wannabee's along with some other details (credit card numbers, bike make and
    model, reg number, etc)

The Herts one is free, but they do want bike registrations and models.

IIRC, you have to take your licence and insurance along on the day.

How do you think El-Plod will react to me turning up on the daytime
MOT'd CBR600, with ragged off the edges tyres, R-clipped on number
plate and no lights or mirrors at all?

If it's all legal I would expect them to react with perfect equanimity.

....possibly after the basis of said legality has been explained to them.
That being said, it really is something that ought to be done.

    Quite so.

Mein du, you'd want to be really up on your (Highway Code) hand signals
    for the ride out.

I already have to do hand signals, trouble is, only old fuckers
    understand them.

    down.

You need proper motorcycle gauntlets with white cuffs.

Cost us poor norvern monkeys 60 dabs apiece.
I believe they WERE going to ask us for ours, but the forgot. I KNEW we were
in for a bit of a day when they did that.

How true THAT is. Taxi drivers (in particular) think hazard warning lights
are in cars to allow them to park wherever the **** they want and
indications of ANY kind are totally ignored by the cunts. Kids have no idea
about anything at all wrt to signals unless they're to warn of Plod coming
around the corner to snatch their stash of crack or weed.

Just realised that the 13th July is RIAT day, so can't do Bikesafe as
I'll be watching huge lumps of metal spitting flame *whilst* trying not
