bikes in vans

  1. Wotcha.
Having just finished my 'year out' from work, I've sold my soul and gone
back to gainful employment. One of the things I seem to have inherited
with my new job is a Vauxhall Vivaro van - short wheelbase version, and
yes, you'll get those two bikes in there without any problems.

Does it drip oil or has it never been filled?

It drips, which is really great considering it's never been run. I think
it's the only bike in the collection on show that has a drip tray under
    it.

I've detailed here how I threw the engine in a wheelie bin and spent the
next two weeks fitting a 350LC YPVS engine into the chassis. Made a much
    better bike than either a 350LC or a KR-1.

Better add a simulation for a drunken pimp driving at 60 over a steep hump
    back bridge then.

True, 2-strokes gave more thrills per pound though.
There's no real point in motorcycles, full stop. That doesn't stop us
    still buying them though.

But that noise and the frenetic gearchanging just to keep the thing
moving, it all adds to the excitement.
Youm mean sad fuckers like me?

Why do you think I got rid of all my RDs? I was sick of fixing them and
they didn't deliver the thrills I could get from far more reliable
machines at a fraction of the cost.

If it's the one I think it is, it isn't technically on show; it's in the
kitchen, along with a Sunbeam and another old Triumph.

Kitchen smitchen. It's in the collection.

That's the one I'm thinking of. I didn't realise they called that vast
expanse, that has 3 or 4 bikes dotted around it, a kitchen. That kitchen
is almost as big as the whole downstairs area of this house.

thank's Loz - the sort of info I was after.

Having said that, porl's expressed an interest in coming along now, so
I may just plump the extra tenner per day to get a high roof Transit.

You'll probably get 3 bikes in a Vivaro if the last one goes in
backwards, but don't hold out much hope of bodywork surviving damage-
    free.
