Be better off building them in 3d and adding some procedural dynamics to
simulate what happens when it falls off the plank while trying to load it.

But the two options aren't exclusive, are they?

look, I'm going to go and hire a van, then take it home and see if my
two bikes will fit in it for a track day the next day.

I'd be pretty fucking pissed off to have spent the money on the van and
trackday if I couldn't use the fucking van to get to the fucking
    trackday.

    Thicky.

[1] Put your head in a metal bucket and hit it with a hammer or Overdose
    on whatever's handy.

He's on here because you can't get this sort of free form abuse
    (feedback?) from a Vauxhall dealer.

just as I appreciate not being fucking around with, I'm not going to
book a test drive for a vehicle I have no intention whatsoever of
    purchasing.

  11. Nah, I won't be booking any test rides this year, either.

  12. [3] Put someone elses head in a metal bucket and hit it with a hammer.
Repeatedly. Until the wriggling stops. And then a few more times just
to be sure (to be sure, to be sure).

I have a few candidates that I wish to nominate[1]

    Phil.

[1] I'm having a bad day. Can you tell?

If you turn up on your rat bike, I suspect you won't be allowed to :)

porl emerged from their own little world to say
A very good point. Lots of hire companies line the vans with wood to
prevent the paint being damaged to maintain residual value.

They should leave some gaps to maintain access to anchorage points. Worth
checking before you commit to hiring.

It's bigger than that Mercedes Vito van Ginge and I picked up your old
SZR in, and I regularly got 2 bikes in the back of that.

I was chatting at a dealers - some years ago - and he offered me a ride
on a 1977 Jubilee Bonneville. I told him I didn't have the money and no
intention to buy it, anyway I had a jolly good run on it and very, very,
very nearly bought it. It was only because I'd just been landed with a
poll tax related court appearance I didn't.

Some dealers are cunts you know.

I've stuffed an MZ in an Astra Estate before, if that helps. I've also
got an MZ and (separately) a C15 in a fully fitted VW Camper van.

You shouldn't have too much difficulty getting the two in a standard SWB
van. Certainly one will be a piece of piss.

There's a brand new one of those in our boss's collection. Silver with
blue bits. It's never even been registered.

A KR-1 will fit from corner to corner in an old shape Vauxhall Combo van
if you take the fairing off[1], no straps needed as it wedges in tight
against the bulkhead. An RD400 will fit in a Mk4 Escort van if the front
end has been shortened by 6 inches through T-boning a car.

[1] I got quite good at getting my KR-1 into my old van alone after
    every blow up.
