Dangerous Driving not Speeding see. Bet there are other contributing
    factors.

Ideal situation is for the CPS to charge one for DD and not speeding (in
parallel). Go to jury trial and hope for sanity.

Police entrapment. It must have been an unmarked bike following and he
    made him do it.

PC Chris King, who was riding the unmarked bike, said: "This
motorcyclist had a total disregard for the road and other riders.

But obviously PC King, travelling at the same speed, and riding less
than half a second behind, was being very considerate.

He was nicked before he pulled the wheelie, but the copper really let
    him hang himself.

Must admit, my view ers towards that as well. If PC King was that
concerned for public safety, he should have tugged him the minute he
caught up with him before the bridge and the wheelie.

But, frankly, the rider is a tit for not checking who he's pulling
wheelies in front of. As I've said before, I get deeply suspicious of
anyone who doesn't come past when I give them an opportunity to by
    slowing down substantially.

    The ton-plus wheelie, perhaps.

    And the guilty plea.

That was my first thought - why chase him for 2.5 minutes if he is riding
dangerously. However, the PC was on an unmarked bike which couldn't have
had blues. If you watch the video to the end you see the rider catches up
with a marked bike which pulls him over. Obviously, the 2 officers are
    working as a team.
Indeed. One less moron on the road is not such a bad thing.

Having been on the receiving end of a police video nicking I'll leave
it to your imagination as to what my views are on you calling him a
    moron.

I was agreeing with Ben's point about being suspicious.

He's not a moron for speeding. He's a moron for not twigging the suspicious
bike failing to come past as a "sacrificial dickhead" and then going on to
provide even more evidence for the court.

When we were nicked I'm pretty sure that three of us dropped back and
had a good look at the unmarked bike but by the time we started to get
suspicious the road block was in place. It's very easy to waste a
number of miles looking at a bike behind you and by the time the
flight or fright factor really kicks in you're nicked. I certainly
wouldn't call him a moron and be glad he was off the road.

Why should doing a wheely at 100MPH amount in itself to being dangerous?
