Any good biker pubs a ride-outable distance from Cambridge? New to
biking (first bike) and only been on the road six weeks.

And it has the benefit of being ever so close to Cambridge with
excellent biking roads between the two spots. Yeah, right.

What's been your excuse for not going to the 'osm the last couple of
    times?

Even though people on bikes are always made welcome there I wouldn't
describe it as a biker pub which is what he asked for so the lack of
    attention isn't from this direction.

Yes, but this is UKRM so recommending somewhere in Derbyshire counts
    as helpful.

You could try Hartford Marina near Huntingdon on a Tuesday night, or
the Silver Ball Cafe at Reed on the A10 south of Royston on a Sunday
    morning.

Neither of these are pubs, mind....

Ah OK, thanks for the heads up I'll remember to read all posts with a
    sprinkling of salt.
Oh they're both close by; I'll check em out
Not too important. I hate being in a pub and drinking coke anyway ;-)

    Thanks mate.

    You probably wouldn't have done.

A decent (but reasonable distance away) pub to visit is the Star &
Garter in Chelveston, Northants. It might have changed but it used to
have a good selection of bikes in residence most evenings in the
summer due to the fact that the road from Eaton Socon to there is one
of the best in the area.

Yet you don't go there. How strange.

Not any more, the guy who ran it has gone and I hear that it's no
longer the bike friendly pub that it was.
