Biker on ice in Norwich.

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Mick Whittingham, Feb 5, 2007.

  1. I was following, some way behind, a guy on a mid sized bike though
Thorpe St Andrew on Sunday. (East of Norwich)

He hit some ice and at less than 20mph had the back end swing from one
side to the other and back again before he got it straight and pulled in
    to a garage forecourt.

Can I say "Well done!" for keeping it up.

    Indeed, well done [1].

[1] Unless this is some evil bait for the recently scratched of bike
    amongst us.

I'd like to thank the chap who vaulted over the central barriers in
Southampton at 06:30ish this morning and went flat on his back just to
let me know it was icy. Much appreciated.

Not so much appreciation for Southampton council who deposited a large
amount of grit all across the road in the middle of a bend. I cleared
some of it with my back tyre whilst trying to avoid clearing the rest
    with my jacket.
