Following the case at the time one could plainly see the CPS prosecutor was doing a better job than the man's defence. Eye witnesses stated Chisango "came out of nowhere" and the boy "flew through the air like a rag doll" yet the 'prosecutor' insisted in court that the car was going "only just over the 30mph limit" and there was no proof Chisango was not driving impeccably. WTF? He'd admitted to police he'd never had a single driving lesson. He was drunk, had no licence, no insurance, no mot. Mechanical failure of the car's brakes or steering had been ruled out by police. It was a let off, his plea bargain should never have been accepted.
