On the Pune Airport road. Small "Hero Honda" had hit an auto-rickshaw.
There was a slightly confused looking cow nearby, which may or may not
    have been involved.

    Anyone have more news? ;^)

Having ridden bikes in India a few times I can most certainly concur
that cows, goats and dogs will go wherever they darn well please.
    When riding towards an animal in the road, the general rule tends to be;

    Cows always go forwads
    Dogs always go backwards
    Goats could go any way.

Mind you, it tends to be best not to hit the cows, what with them being
    all sacred and all.

    ;-)

    Hope that helps.

Neighbour lived in Bangalore for some time whilst working for Hindustan
Aircraft co. He was assigned a driver for his car. When he said he didn't
want one and was happy to drive himself he was told under no circumstances
should he drive as if he hit a cow the crowd would lynch him. They could
always get a new driver, he was more valuable.

Not to mention that it makes apartheid SA and Chechnya look like Butlins, in
    places.

It was a complete and utter BOLLOX of a job. The **** in charge of it just
could not be bothered to spend time on the job. If you ask me he should have
been pushed out in a small boat and blown up.

Latest count put 130 million muslims in India FFS. In fact I think it's the
2nd biggest muslim population of any country.
It's the lack of comment by the BHAL that intrigue me. Not ours mind, them
    over there>>>

Don't think so. It was about 5' at the shoulder, brown. Had quite big
horns, with a slight curl in them. And a purple painted patch on its
    back.

    Ring any bells?
