  1. Ah, up pops Clueless Nige.

It's a public newsgroup mate, get someone to show you how to killfile me if
    you don't like it.

Don't even bother trying logic with Des, you are wasting your time. He
used to go to various events before taking on his persecution complex.

I've never seen any divisions at the *oSM's I've been to. Quite the opposite
    in fact.

Perhaps you should look at it as a very noisy clubhouse full of
bikers. There'll be shouts of "you stupid ****" and so on clearly
audible the minute you step inside, but there are lots of ordinary
conversations going on as well. It's just that the very low SNR takes
    some getting used to.

  7. So you're evidently in a position to comment?

  8. Erm, no, he didn't actually, as an irritated French hotelier
    discovered...

Errr, no Des, a lot of people just don't like you.

You get obnoxious and uppitty, and cannot understand when people think you
    are being a ****.

When you stopped over at ours the other year you seemed a perfectly
    reasonable person.

    What went wrong ?

    Oh, I understand perfectly why people think I'm 'a ****'. It's because
I refuse to bend the knee and accept Clique remonstrances for
    non-existent offences.
I am still a perfectly reasonable person, as those who know me in real
    life, can attest.
My telephone was the wrong colour.

Nah, I think it missed it too. Well, I missed the part about how going
through a very messy divorce and losing my job, meant that not turning
up was something to do with a .. erm, a 'persecution complex' ??

TOT really has lost the plot.

  17. Indeed it was. Yehudi Menuhin had changed his mind three or four times
before the off, then finally said he was coming, and never showed.

A message on my answering machine, when I got home, revealed that he had
indeed contacted me, some time after I'd left home. Of course, anyone
else would have had the decency to inform the hotel that was holding the
    room, but that never happened.

I don't think I've ever had any other no-show where somebody failed to
    get a message through.

You still seem to be labouring under the impression that posting my real
    name bothers me,
    Des.

It used to... it doesn't any more.

It does however, as mentioned before, make you look like a **** for doing so
given it's not really the done thing and it's something you feel the need to
    do on a regular basis.
