Tuono-r you *know* you want one. Simon's had his Mille for
ages, so it can't be that bad - can it?

If that is what you fancy, just feckin do it, at least take a ride on
    one.

Great sound[1], and i find the low down stomp addictive.

If the tuono seat height is same as the rsvr then it is a fraction
taller than the blade but considerably narrower, you won't have a
    problem.

There's a couple of others in the unfaired world i'd entertain[2], you
said the z1000/b12 what about the Raptor thou, Brutale, z750 and the
Fazer thou tho' i've not ridden any of them.

    hth.

    [1] Tuono - (Itl) thunder
    [2] as a cbr6 replacement

  3. Funnily enough, you're right about the depreciation. Once they're down
to 3k or so they seem to stay there.

They suffered horribly when the megabike insurance bug bit, but they've
eased off and they can be surprisignly cheap to insure.

I think it's the rider profile: Blackbirds are bought by lardy
forty-somethings who don't ride them very fast, and polish them a lot.
    Good risks, in other words.

  4. I'd agree, except that for some reasons Kwackers look good in it. Only
Kwackers, mind. Can you imagine something like a Pan European painted in
    Kawa Green?

(JP would probably wet himself, of course, but he's a case apart)

I'm staying Up Norf, as I'm going to a football match Up Norf and then
being more Up Norf next week.

someone else suggested that. Doesn't look particularly comfortable or

Too expensive, too slow. 750s are for girls.

you're considerably taller than me, so you'd probably find it more
comfortable. It's going to be slow, whichever way you look at it.

I can't put both feet flat on the ground while sat on my Fireblade -
it's not a problem. I've ridden a Mille, and although it was slightly
taller than my 'blade, it wasn't a problem (or rather, the only
problem was that I wasn't *expecting* it to be taller, but would have
no worries getting used to it).
Well, Milles/Tuonos[1] are always going to feel slower than inline-4
litre bikes. You've got to compare like with like.

[1] you know, I only found out yesterday that "Tuono" means "Thunder"
in Italian. I'd kinda assumed for some reason[2] that it meant "Tuna".
[2] subliminal influence of their "Blue Marlin" concept bike, I
    expect.

"no full fairing". If I /was/ considering replacing the 'blade with a
    newer 4-cyl race-rep litre-bike, It'd be a Gixer thou or an R1.
