that would mean buying Streetfighters, though. Plus, I'm sure most of
the things in their are 3/4-finished pieces of shit.
well, in an ideal world, I would!

  3. That's not that much of a disadvantage.
That is that much of a disadvantage.

as to the inside leg bit, nonsense. I've not ridden one, so can't
    comment on the second bit.

Fazer thou, if you don't use it for stunts.
Fazer gets to 140mph like a rocket in any conditions.. Lots of
    grunt see.
Fazer thou; comfy seat, useful half fairing, good riding pozish.
    Fazer thou.
    Fazer thou.
Fazer thou probably handles better "on the road" than most, right
    out of the box.
Fazer thou it is then.. In light of such overwhelming evidence,
why don't you just try one for size?

Ok, so I exaggerated a tad, but the Fazer thou is considered a
"tall" bike.. The Tuono is *taller*.

'Ere! You've not suggested the ZRX12 yet, what's up?
Your beholding eye appears to have a log in it. However, it is
intriguing, and I'd love to see you do the Frankfurt run on it ...

I don't want darsy to buy one, it just wouldn't be right.

  12. I had that once on a ShiteOldEscort (it wasn't old at the time, but
still shite and its Escortness was undeniable). Brake pedal to floor,
much brown trouser. Perfect on subsequent applications. Drove home and
it did it again just as I was coming to a slow halt in the workshop -
left a vice-shaped indentation in the bonnet.

After much farting around, I discovered a tiny piece of swarf in the
    master cylinder bore.

It's easy then. Do all Tuono's come with the gold anodised frame/swinging
arm? it looks seriously gash. That silencer is a fright too.
Why do you rule out the ZX-10? bar the beak air intake it's quite nice.
Riding a performance bike with no decent fairing is miserable IME.

Have you seen one of these in the flesh yet?
    http://www.yamaha-motor.co.uk/page.cfm?pageID=101092 it's beautiful.
Sufficiently so to make me think about some change.

That MZ's a little blinder to look at BTW but it's overpriced. For three and
a half grand you could get a decent Commando mind.

I've sat on one in the showroom - didn't strike me as too bad.
Remember, I've owned some *properly* tall bikes: R1150GS, R30.

It'd have to be something pretty major to knock the pistons far enough
back that the lever would go back to the bar.

Mind, I suffered some similar-ish delusions, when I thought that one of
the calipers had been leaking brake fluid onto the wheel, which the
dealers spent a couple of days investigating at my insistence. With the
benefit of hindsight, I suspect it was a combination of it being one of
the hottest days of summer, and the fact that the grease gun was hanging
from the ceiling directly above it...

"User Defect", i.e. not spotting that the reason I needed to adjust the
chain so much, before the last French trip I went on, was due to it
*seriously* being on its last legs.

Mind, Clare still reckons that wheelie-ing away from one of the French
toll booths didn't help much, but she's a girl, so what does she know?

Anyway, all the other real problems have stemmed from that single incident.

Oh, and here: have this hook back.
