This is gorgeous IMO. And different - a half-faired 9R:

And in the correct colour, too.

  3. You're obsessed you are.

The odd coloured frame down spar looks "wrong"; it should be the same
colour as the over the top frame piece. The lights are okay, but the
side pieces of the "fairing" look naff. The rad is ugly. The indicators
are hom. The mirrors are tres hom. And the blue bits are hyper tres
    hom.

That said, I'm a big fan of silly engines in naked packages...

  7. Thinking about this, I don't think there is - for sake of argument -
    a ukrm'er that I'd rather be.

There are plently of ukrm'er's wage packets I'd rather have than
mine, but that would involve either being them or doing their
job. The thought of which always makes me feel icky.

I wouldn't have thought pregnant ginger birds were Champ's cup of
    tea...

Bear in mind that the budget for de-uglyfying it will be somewhat
    larger than the purchase price...

apparently some people don't care what their bike looks like.

    there is that, too.

    Really, it's a non-starter.

Maybe so, although the motor is in exactly the same state of tune as the
Mille, unlike, say, the Falco or Futura
It's a twin. And the gearing's very tall, so you can be doing quite high
speeds with the engine just gurgling away.

Well, I'm hardly likely to deny being a posuer, but I'm less concerned
about how my bikes look. Tho maybe I just work to a different
    aesthetic.

let me ask the question in a different way: do you want people to
think you have a cool bike?

Quite. Without wishing to take the thread horribly downmarket [1],
I'm afraid I'd much rather Angie than Claire. Pregnancy's a real
    turnoff, I reckon.

    [1] who am I kidding

Well, yes. Wanting "to be someone else" would be a sign of
    significant psychological issues, imo.

Oh, that's harsh. Given that Claire reads the newsgroup and Angie
doesn't, and I'm a thick-skinned fool, you might have done the
    gentlemanly thing and lied...
