They seem to be £140 cheaper than Auntie Carole for my Blackbird, quoting me
    £298 FC.

Any reason why they're so cheap? Do they suck royally?

    TIA.

IIRC CN includes european cover and breakdown insurance in their
premiums. Does it include the CIHAGM option?

Ah, yes. Forgot to mention, both offer breakdown cover and legal cover.

CN offers European Breakdown and legal too, but the BikeTeam quote is for a
    protected no-claims, which CN isn't.

  4. They did the same for Elly (the original recommender iirc) and myself.

thoroughly nice people to deal with - not that I've had to claim with
them yet (still hoping to settle out of insco for the beemer).

    I'm with them.

    They're cheap.

I haven't needed to claim yet.

You won't claim from them - you will claim from the underwriter.

Whilst true, you will most likely deal through the agents, in this
case Bike Team ... It doesn't matter how good the underwriting
insurance company is if you have a crap agent to start with (1).

    (1) Not that I'm saying that Bike Team are. They seemed perfectly
competent when I was looking for quotes at renewal. I ended up with
Auntie Carol because of the inclusion of breakdown and legal cover in
    the premium.

Interesting. I have gone with Bike Team now and it includes breakdown and
legal cover. European insurance but not legal and breakdown also. Not that
it matters too much as I doubt we'll be riding abroad this year anyway, what
with the imminent house purchase and all.

Also, as well as the premium being £140 cheaper, the excess was £300 instead
    of the £450 CN wanted.

Well, you know what I mean. I haven't had to deal with them other
than to give them money yet so I don't know it they or the underwriter
    are crap.

    Underwriter is MCE(?) I think.

Ok, I missed this one. I was with ERS through Carola Nash for 4 years. Never
had a claim, so I haven't experienced problems. Are they crap, or is it just
    the RAC recovery bit?

Or is it just a "whooosh" all round...?
