I got a bit later start yesterday than I had anticipated, as I had to pick
up my buddy before heading downtown on the Dart rail...

Got to the convention center around 10:30, went through the cattle-lines to
buy tix. to get in... My main goal was to check out the Ural Wolf engine
at the show.. I (and others) were sorely disappointed that Ural brought all
their models EXCEPT the wolf. Their Orange County (TX) dealer that was
working the booth told me that they don't make enough $$ on the Wolf, and
that they only brough their most profitable items.. the rides with
    sidecars... Oh well...

Other than that, I spent a little time at each of the big mfg.'s booths...
Haha - I even went over to the Vento booth. They've got some bikes that
"look" nice, but dang - tiny engines in them. The biggest engine they've
got is a 400cc. It was good meeting and talking to Caeser from the Laredo,
Tx manufacturing plant, though. I had corresponded with him several times
over the last couple of years.

Took a break from the manufacturers, and ate a late junk-food breakfast -
where Fullstate and Bling! caught up with me. (Fullstate walks up to me,
with a piece of paper that lookes like it's a wanted poster from a post-
office, and says "Is this you?". Good to meet you two! Never did see
Gary (The Family) - or if I did see you - then I was probably trying to
squeeze down an aisle. It sure got busy after 12:00 noon.

I think the most enjoyable part of the show, for me, anyway, was talking
with the guys in the small booths. Ryan - owner of MotoPak makes a line of
tank bags & soft saddle-bags that will fit the bill for my bike - and at
a good price... Probably a holiday gift to myself - and more motivation for
me to finish up my carbs.

Well, I was there, and did look for you. Unfortunately, FS's itinerary
didn't reach my inbox until after my departure.

I strolled the bike manufacturer's areas, and talked about the Prune
with one of the guys from Honda, and the R3 with a guy from Triu-
mph. The guy from Triumph was really a customer, just there help-
    ing out.

I thought Rex would be easy to find, because I didn't really see to
many with long hair. I went to the Ural display(after I was able to
find it), but after hanging a while, I didn't see you there.

There were a lot of people there, I left at around 14:00.
