Just been reading one of my chirstmas presents one of those beleive it or
not books. One of the things in there got me googling but with no joy :-

An orchestra of 100 motorbikers revved their bikes in stockholm at an
exhibition. The piece they performed was called "Vrooom" by swedish composer
Staffan Mossenmark and directed by Petter Sundkist who used racetrack flags
instead of the normal baton. The piece was 5 minutes long.

Has anyone heard or seen this, or even better has an mp3 or video of it?
I'd love to hear and or see it in action.

"Matt Horn" <> struggled to ejaculate:

I was rather taken by the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain, who
appeared on the Jools Holland show this morning. Seven ukes and a guy
on a bass guitar playing Teen Spirit with spirit ... the whole surreal
experience compounded by the appearance of the leftmost player, who
was some unholy cross between Auvache and Ace.

I will have to buy their album, I think:

I saw them live last September. I commend then to the house.

thanks for that, it was a load of old crap! I was expecting so much more.
The guy who played his black and decker drill on the TV was much better.

I thought of you when reading their gig list on their website - they
play Rye now and again. I shall make it my business to attend one of
their gigs this year, I think - that's my first Resolution ;-)

Just listened to it and now I'm thinking what an absolute pile of
crap. It was just lots of bikes revving, no coordination or theme or
    tune or anything.

Maybe I'm tone deaf or something but I expected something good.

Heh. The Rye festival is a very busy time for me. I'm out to see about
1.5 events per day. Anyway, The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain was
the highlight for me last year.

They were rather fun, whatever it was.

  12. Heh, I remember seeing that a while ago and picked it up purely for novelty
value, but it's actually rather good, if a little patchy.
