Mind you, I'm over in the UK on the 3rd Nov. Do you reckon I'll be able

There's a lovel series of accompanying stuff. Si hargreaves just went
down to Paul Ricard to see what it's like there at Bol time now, with no
bikes. Very thoughtful piece. There's another on the Magny-Cours Bol,
saying that it's a shithole (we know that). And a lovely retrospective
on team Bike, with some ace pix.

And who was it saying they thought they raced with an 850cc four? Bear?
He was right: Honda gave them an ex Wayne Gardner 860 engine for their
VF750, and there's a hysterical anecdote by Mat Oxley about him riding
neck-and-neck with one of the works Hondas all the way down the Mistral,
with the puzzled rider looking all the time at Mat's VF and wondering
how the **** what looked like an ordinary street bike was going so fast.

 

Sorry, but forgot to call you. Monday night is a possibility. How about
you?

 

Bugger. I'll see what I can do on Tuesday, but I'll be coming back from
Tourcoing (near to the '08 run) and need to pick up the bike from the
service. Ah, OTOH, Wednesday should be doable. I've got lots of
internal meetings throughout the day, but it should be okay.

I'll drop you an SMS or call you tomorrow to confirm.

 

Just spare a thought for those of us that live in Bracknell, eh?
