I have a 1981 gs1100 sometimes when I am done riding for the day it drains
my whole fuel tank out on the ground. I am somewhat mechanical, but am
stumped....I thought the floats were sticking, so I disassembled the carbs
and cleaned them...they were dirty big time. Still the same problem.....I
have not been able to see were the fuel comes from as every time I catch it
it is too late the tank is drained and there is a big puddle under the
bike.....any ideas? Happened only 7 times last year, and I ride lots....so
not to often. It also seems to flood sometimes when riding it....(it bogs
so to speak) I also floated all of the floats to check to see if they were
    shot no luck.
Thanks in advance to all that help

  2. Does your bike have a petcock between the tank and the carbs? If it
does, does it have a vacuum hose attached to it?
