I gave a call to American Eagle HD in Corinth yesterday to get more info
    on Bike (III).

With only 5,000 miles on it it was retired from the Irving PD. Obviously
a low/no use vehicle. I talked to a buddy who's on IPD and he confrimed -
they returned all the 2006s for 2007 a few months ago. As far as
maintenance records - other than the "we topped off engine, tranny and
primary and checked all electronics" there weren't any. The bike was a
year old and hadn't even finished its break-in.

Finding out it came from Irving explains an non-encounter I had Sunday
while cruising to hook up with teh guys by MSF / TP.

Cruising along 635E over by Fry's there was one of Irving's finest running
radar in the right lane. I blew by doing around 80 and waved to him (saw
him too late to do anything else - like slowdown).

He dropped the radar and waved back. Gotta love it. ;-)

Your motorcycle has that "showroom" look to it .. For all practical
    purposes..
the Irving PD motorcops, are a pretty decent bunch and they take good
care of their equipment, including the bikes.. Most of the traffic enforce-
ment officers, ride metrics and the Harleys are used mostly for ceremonial
type events.. although you might see a few of them involved in enforcement..

Looking your motorcycle over.. I'd say it had very light use and was well
cared for .. Sharp bike, Bill C. ride it with pride.. hmmm.. You might want
    to
consider changing the color to that teal color of bike number II, though..
    LOL

Now that you have rode a few times on the bike since we put air in the
back shocks, did it seem to make a difference??

Don't be pulling over those twin peak gals when they leave work, trying to
    get another peek.

I believe Walker is right on the teal. Teal is certainly this year's lucky
    color.

It made a MASSIVE difference. I road it into work today (121-183-Precinct
    Line).

This is where I noticed that #II was really smooth. So was #III this
    morning.

I also found out that #III will carry my fat ass OVER 100mph. As high as
I got on #II was 95. ;-) now I just got to see if I can head over to
Twin Peaks and find if one of the service staff is interested in #69 (as
long as we're talking numbers here).

that's the way to do that.....wave at 'em, who knows he might have
recognized the HD, as it zipped by, maybe the radar recognized it...I
assume you knew it use to be a Po-lice Bike. BillC, glad you are
feeling confident, and riding 100mph. There ya' go.

If they have paint left over from the new paint work on two of the
bikes, why don't we get ours painted teal too?
