    Hello URM,

I'll jump straight to the point. I am about to move into my girlfriends
place (im in leicester shes in london) I've devided to keep my flat and rent
it out. All my bike stuff, insurance licence etc is registered to this
address and I will be riding my bike around London am I breaking any laws?
do I need to change all of my registered details regarding the bike.

The reason I ask is well if me moving there doesn't work out I have my place
to move back into and dont have to change my details all over again.

I just wanted to know if this was legal or ilegal before I start riding
around London and getting pulled over and then landing myself in grief.

    Appreciate any info on this.

    cheers

Its initially for 6 months a trial and then if all goes ok then it will be
    permanent.

Being a lazy git I was hoping I wouldn't have to bother if I wasn't breaking
    any laws.

    Cheers

  4. As far as the DVLA goes, all they need to know is an address where you
can be contacted - if that is still your old address, then fine. You
take the chance, small though it is, of missing out on a court summons
    in time.

Insurance co will need to be told for definite - the risk will change
when you live in London and you don't want to give the fuckers the
slightest excuse to wriggle out of a claim.

    Hi all
I`ve got a question along the same lines-I`m storing my bike in a mate`s
    garage at
present, (instead of in my locked back yard, with no decent weather
    protection on the
bike, apart from a breathable cover) If this is a `temporary` thing, does
    the same apply
as you have advised Phill previously? Its only on the other side of Chester,
    from where I live..

    cheers
