    FWIW, my first bike cost me £5500 and first year insurance was approximately
    8% of pre-tax salary.

    So things haven't changed that much :)

    Handily it's now 1.8%, which is much better (for several reasons...)

    When is it you're in the UK again - I need to arrange a van for moving
    3 bikes around, including the RGV.

    I suppose you want paying for it at some point too.

  9. Not officially. The wife wants me to earn some dosh. Might open a B&B in
    the village. It looks like one of the houses in the UK has a buyer.
    I'm planning to leave here on the 10th July. Driving up through France,
    so will probably take a couple of days.
    Might be nice.
