Really, I was 21 in 1983 and while I had a 350LC lots of my mates had
    650,750 and 1000CC bikes.

Firstly, can you learn to post vaguely decently? It makes it easier to
follow what you're going on about, what you're replying to and so forth.

Secondly, IMO it's much more an age/income group that's the issue - not DAS.

    In
I was a couple of years over your listing but by 83 had already had
    RD250/350/400, RD250/350LC, SP370, z650, GPz750, Z1-R, z1000 mkII, and I
counted myself as one of the less well off back then [1] ;o)

[1] prolly cos of spending lots of pennies on bikes ...

    That's every new rider covered.

How about an increase in riders of ptw's in London as a way of getting
    around the congestion charge?

So more training on bigger bikes is better than riding around the
block and then buying a 250? Or any size bike?

They still can't. And they certainly can't afford the insurance.

    Bollox couldn't they. I had a z650 at 19, a z750 at 20 and a 150mph
750turbo at 21. And for the first two of those I was a student living
    on a grant.

It would turn up its toes in short order if all posts were like yours,
however. Have you heard of "quoting", "context" or "attributions" at
your seat of "learning" - or is your ivory tower too high for that
    sort of thing?

Really, posts like yours are about as welcome as the sudden
recognition of a smear of smegma on your mother-in-law's curtains.

Nigel, old son. You'll have to do something with your newsreader, you
know - every time you edit a post, it comes up with a space preceding
the indent string, making it blatantly obvious that you've been
interfering. Ruins the effect, you see.
