Well I was riding home today from the Melbourne CBD (Citylink) sitting on
around 120Kmh. Anyway I look in my rear view mirror and see a bike moving
up fast in the express lane. This is not uncommon seeing bike flying along
at 140 to 150 so I didn't think to much of it. Anyway about 20 seconds
later I see a bike cop fly by on his way home looking very casual..

Good to see the cops wipe of 5 ;-)

I had a chat to a bike cop at a V8 SUpercar race at Sandown last year
and he told me that he doesn't use the lights and sirens unless it's
really necessary, because motorists tend to panic and do unpredictable
things when they suddenly see lights and sirens going.

I'd always thought they were required to use lights and sirens
when attending a call, but apparently not.

  3. I only use lights when i need ppl to get out of my way and pull over, sirens
    if they dont move...

thats sops for ya, i also put lights on if in a busy populated area..

we still have to get to jobs quickly. you may think we are simply speeding,
but we may be going to a critical incident were lives may be lost or things
    in progress...

    cheers

Ahh I'm guess I should be happy he kept going and wasn't pulling me over.

The strange thing is I have had a number of cops come up from behind when
I've been speeding and they have never done anything about it. Am I just
lucky or are most cops pretty cool about 10 to 15kmh over. Actually makes
me wonder if my speed is out by 10kmh.

LOL...Well, to be honest I have this sexual fantasy about prison blokes. To
be stuck in a cage full of tough muscle bound blokes, and blokes with big
fat bellies telling me what to do, and where to do it, is kind of my dream.
I don't want to get caught easily, but if I do, it's will be kinda like a
dream cum true, if ya know what I mean.

I just hope they send me to prison and not just a big fine.
Fines are so boring. I want prison baby!!!!

LOL...News, I had that the other day. I was doing about 25ks over or more
through Officer, and the next thing I hear sirens behind me. I think "OH MY
GOD, ITS MY LUCKY DAY!!!" but then they drive straight past when i pull over
to the side. I ran after them yelling "OVER HERE!!, OVER HERE!!!" but they
ignored me and kept on going. I mean, I thought I turned cops on but I guess
these cops had more urgent things on their minds. Oh well, maybe another
    day.

    Cheers.

    Legally you are..

Also legally the bacon or any emergency service are not allowed to
speed or break laws contrary to their beliefs sometimes, unless its an
    emergency.

LOL-Mad-Biker, you sound like a pretty cool cop. Would you like to be in one
of my porno videos? I will pay you very handsomely, and you will only have
to come as yourself in uniform. It would be a lot of fun. I have a catalogue
of 42 great looking girls and guys who are stars in my movies. You just pick
which ones you want. i will make you a guest porno starrr with the option of
becoming permanent. It will be GREAT!!!

They're like lemmings. Blind, deaf, drunken lemmings.
Firies in Qld are required to use lights and siren when attending certain
calls, however if we don't use lights and siren we are required to drive to
    the traffic rules.

  18. Biggus, that is not so, as long as our speed is reasonable and justafiable..
sure we cant do 200 down the main street because macca's is about to close,
but we can do 80 in a 50 zone to get to an alarm.

or to stop some wanker on a pink blackbird from doing what ever he is
    doing..

    cheers

    Same here in NSW

Although there are laws & By Laws & then regulations.
But all covered by the Act ( yes it gets all confusing since we were taken
    over by the Govt )

    But basically the same
