Bike/Car Drags - why do you bother?

  1. Nope. But you can have one of our "Don't feed the troll" signs...

ahh GAGF <G> - I was describing a hypothetical situation. I have never owned
a 'flash' car, nor driven a car with a turbo - And this comment from someone
who fills out cleo type questionnaires to find out whether or not s/he is a
ricer ? I reckon you'd fare well in the 'are you a redneck?' questionnaire -
you've prolly done it in one of your picture magazines - prolly the one you
left on the dash of your morris major.

  8. I was being cautious - i have no idea what holden are importing these days,
    I dont touch em.
I just saw some astra add with an ugly dog and a dude that cant shift gears
for shit, and thought.. hmm probably that car and it had a turbo.
They are all cages to me.

Um... actually I have to stick my hand up at this point - it was actually me
Theo. :) By then I'd enjoyed quite a few hearty ales and was settling in
for a bit of juvenile entertainment, and on that score it hasn't been all
    disappointing.

However, as an avid "cager" myself, it's been a good introduction to
aus.cars who seem to consist of some very reasonable and articulate people
and not just the proverbial 'doof doof' crowd as I once suspected. So if
nothing else, I'm a fraction less of an ignoramus than before...

Anyway - anything that can promote a little understanding between 'cagers'
and 'framers' is good IMHO. Maybe one day we will join farces (sic) and do
something collectively about the ludicrous "anti-speeding" regime most of us
live under. Now *that* would be very good indeed.

    Cheers,
    Dave (the framer) ZZR600 => ST2 (stolen) => '03 XX
(the cager) '85 Camira (and proud to admit it... hehe) => '88 Astra SLX =>
    '96 320i & '01 306 2.0L

A "sidetroll"? What's next? An "undertroll"? How about a "toptroll"?

We could start a whole new industry here.

    A "back-story-troll"
One with a history that the audience never knows but which powers the wanker
    actor no end.

    A "snag-troll"
A troll who likes to go home at night and do the washing up.

    A "metro-troll"
One who likes to dress a bit camp to confuse the lady-troll across the bar.

This isn't being x-posted is it? Be a shame to let the cagers in on this.

How long is it since I've been out on the bike? Sunday? That's 48 hours!!

Then I'd better apologise to Manning (for that bit).
I used to hang out at aus.cars as well for about six months, 6 or more
years ago. They were a bunch of twits then and I left.

Personally i just dont trust anyone else on the road, other bike riders, car truck moped
goped bicycle, unicycle/ I mean if no one else on the road is going to watch out for my
(or your) well being, who the hell else is? yourself.

There's just varying degree's of idiocy, some just like staying in the wadingpool, other's
to just plunge right on it even though they cant swim.

What the hell is this myth still doing being propogated? There are few 4
stroke 250cc bikes that can out drag a reasonably quick car. Have you tried
it? They are simply not that quick. ie. there are MANY cars on the market
that could out accelerate a baby 'blade, particularly over, say 400m.
