blah blah blah. bikes are quicker, we know that. sometimes its fun to see
how insecure they are by revving our cars, most of them normally fly off as
fast as possible jsut to prove they have big balls or soemthing. and they
    win by miles! who cares?

I see..is it meant to be some sort of insult or what?

"haha look at that goose, hes riding around in a METAL CAGE OMG!!" I mean,
you guys ride around on a metal frame or something..should we call you guys
Framers? Sounds pretty silly, but I can go along with it.

this is heaps interesting. you mean wankers drive cars? an apparently
wankers ride bikes. in fact if we did an in depth study, wed probably find
that wankers participate in nearly every activity there is in life. this
whole thread is useless for those who have a brain larger that a wrinkled
canary nut who already know that wankers are everywhere in life.

in addition, after reading previous threads in aus.motorcycles, its obvious
the motivation for this crosspost was to see how those silly "cagers" got
upset when someone talked about a bike beating a car! this act is in itself
10 times more immature and ridiculous than some bloke in a "cage" thinking
his car goes fast. grow up basically.

I just love a good old 'us vs them' beatoff...
How long can it take *some* of you road biking retards to work out that
aus.cars is, in general, made up of those with an interest in driving,
just like you lot have an interest in riding.

  8. Obviously lots of people. I take off at pretty much the same speed wether
there is a cage next to me or not. I like having my space. True, lots of
cagers probably don't care. But there are lots that do. Cause they just keep
their foot down until they pass me. (Several seconds after I've closed the
throttle. I kinda like having a license in my wallet.) Then they look at you
at the next lights with this "Ha! I beat you!" look on their face.[/QUOTE]

Thats whats known as the "loser flyby"...

Always worth letting them know the correct terminology as you lanespilt
past them at the next set of lights :)

Nah, wankers are people who can't find their 'shift' key, and only put one
    space after a full-stop.

  14. speed is relative to the observer, unless the front wheel is in the air and
the guy is having trouble hanging on, I assure you he isnt really taking off
that quick... again its the peformance difference... but hey you know best
    dont you.

They're stupid cagers, remember! They don't know HOW to check other groups -
in fact, if it weren't for the crossposts, they wouldn't even know we
existed. They don't look on the roads, why should they look in newsgroups?

Funny, I've found that sticking with the traffic works quite well.

Sure, if there's a reason to lanesplit I will, but It's not mandatory.
If you feel it is, then your traffic skills need a lot of work.
I have been riding bikes for a lot longer than a few days, and I mostly
    agree with his statement.

If they are where I can see them, I can deal. If they are driving
badly, then having them behind me in traffic can be trouble, as they can
get close, and they can do stupid things beween mirror scans. Or get
into *my* blind spot, meaning it needs a headcheck and not a mirror
    scan.

There are times being ahead of them is good, if I can guarantee to be
well ahead. Times when being behind them is better.

I've been riding long enough to know there is no One True Way in
traffic, that I have to have lots of different methods and know which
    one to use when.

one space after a full stop? isnt that normal grammatical syntax? do you put
    two?

wankers are people who dont use correct grammar in an informal usenet chat?

seems like youre grasping for straws. none of my posts are meant to be
against your motorcycling cause, but some of you guys seem to have some
fairly large chips on your shoulders.
