Sir obviously doesn't live in the wild and wooly depths of Telford
    Locals all have Left minds.
    SOB becomes highly desirable!!!!!

    Ground anchor
Passive sensor lights with buzzer attachment
Large walking stick next to door.
Our local bobby has suggested that the Knobkerrie is outmoded as an aid to
    walking
I suggest I only need it to walk to the garage!

Just do what we do and don't worry about it. If somebody wants to get
in our garage they'll do it no matter what we do to try and stop them
so any effort to stop them is wasted effort. The bikes are all insured
and all are alarmed/immobilised so why worry?

That's all very nice and good if the bikes in question are fairly easy
    to replace.

Some of the ones I've got in the sig are not that valuable but
essentially irreplecable. But that's one of the reasons I park the
Range Rover in front of the garage. Makes a decent ground anchor for
the garage door, which seems to be all it's good for seeing that the
battery seems to have gone on holiday last night.

We park either the car or van in front of the garage when we go on
holiday but a keen villain would soon find a way to break into the car
and push it back down the drive once the'd decided they wanted to get
    in the garage.

I'll fight against the more popular point of view and say that the
alarms on the bikes are more likely to stop someone nicking them than
a car parked against the door.

    There's always that...
    Well, the car's alarmed :)

There are too many ways into a normal garage anyway (through the door,
through the roof, etc) so unless you build yourself a fortress you have
to live with the fact that someone may break in and nick any of the
    bikes.
