My dad is one of 9 (2 died young), my mum is one of 8. Their sisters and
brothers all have kids, most of them more than 3 each. One of my dad's
brothers has 6 girls. I'm one of 5.

When I got married in 1990, 41 of my cousins attended the reception, not
all of them could make it because they live all over the world. Some of
them from my mum's side were in their 30s and had never met before.

Maybe not, but the two heads give it away.

Hmm, of all my relatives, without going past cousins, I can't even reach
    10. If I were to include those already dead I might just go over 10.

The Red Cross and it's flag are in no way related to them. It's
genesis was exclusively a Swiss/Neutral thing, and the flag was simply
the Swiss flag reversed, which flag itself comes from xtian/crusader
symbols, via the 'Holy Roman Empire' (i.e. the German ruling class).
Absolutely nothing to do with the KH.

You on some mission to post the stupidest, most ill-informed comments
    of the week, or what?

Yebbut, you're family's from one of those overpopulated places in the
third world TOG wants us to 'muse' about. Oh hang on, Malta's part of
    Europe isn't it.

I'm referring to whichever culture/race/religion the individuals you insulted
belongs to. And you'll have insulted all those who wear that sort of headgear
as a symbol of their culture. Whichever culture/race/religion that is.

    I thought I had, too.
I guess not - just the occasional spurt now and again.

  12. The major problem is that after 9/11 the Americans froze, as did most
other countries upon their insistence, most of the bank accounts which
collected moneys for Muslim charities. Some of which but not all, were
funding Muslim extremist group promoting terrorism.

The infrastructure doesn't exist as it did in the past for the ordinary
people in Arab states to collect money for charities. Some new
charitable groups have been formed, one assumes with US approval, to
collect for the tsunami disaster and to that end they are doing well.

What surprises me is the big moneyed Arab leaders whose personal income
is in billions of dollars haven't put their hand in their own pocket.

Perhaps they have. In any case why should they have to boast about it,
    or not?

  14. They don't have to the UN have been acknowledging contributions so it
    would show up.

    Who says they haven't?

Isn't there a tenet of Islam along the lines of a donation that is only
known to the giver and Allah carries more weight - or something like that.

  16. As I said before it would show on UN lists. On of the reasons the UN is
trying to monitor the donations is to ensure it goes to the disaster
relief through the established charities (they have an allocation
percentage already agreed) and not be clawed back by banks.

I tell you what would be nice and it comes on the back of the UN asking
for money to buy stuff to do things. It would be really nice is the
rice suppliers said they would donate the rice as aid, if the haulage
companies would use their trucks for free to take the stuff to the
airport and if BAA and its local equivalents would waive the landing
fees. That would help the UN do it's job a bit better I reckon.

Not gonna fucking happen though is it?

  18. Do you have *any* idea how silly and pompous that sounds? And the
wearing of cloth on the head, as I've repeatedly said, is a religious
(OK, or cultural) thing and has absolutely nothing to do with race.

    Now try learning something.
