Big smash on Spit Road

    Not sure of details, just got confronted with kilometres of stationary
    traffic and the all south bound lanes closed. Being on the bike I simply
    rode around it all and ducked down some side streets so never saw the crash
    site.
    Good thing there's all those speed cmaeras there...

    I live at Balgowlah and heard a lot of sirens earlier today but I guess they
    must have been for something else as they say the above happened about 3 PM.....

    This was it. The wife just called (5:30pm) as she was coming past. Big mess
    apparently. If it's been 2 1/2 hours it usually means someone is dead or
    close to it.

    much earlier (pre midday).....

    They just removed one from there so...............perhaps that's what caused
    the crash? :)
