I have already made the greatest contribution to the fight against climate
change that I can make: I have decided not to breed. Now quit bugging me and
go and talk to the Catholics.

“There were these two wogs fighting,” the 19-year-old said.

“The fatter wog said to the skinnier wog: ‘Oi bro, you slept with my
cousin’. And the other one said: ‘Nah man, I didn’t for shit, eh’ and
the other one goes: ‘I will call on my fully sick boys, eh’. And then
pulled out a gun and went chk-chk boom!”

You haven't actually read the article to which you refer?

"Of course, Werbeloff did not deliberately initiate this viral clip, so
the outcomes as they relate to her success and career advancement are
    largely moot."

Clare, who is more than a little photogenic, now has an agent to handle
    her publicity.

So the IQ of a warm water jellyfish then.

What's not to like? Almost without exception the performances are good, the
characters are believable as are the plots (with the exception of the
utterly stupid serial-killer plot in series 5), there's no exposition, so
the dialogue feels real, and it obviously has real intelligence behind the
writing - it's not something that was shaped by a focus group to have a nice
    happy ending.

In fact the only real downside is that, unless you're from Baltimore, you'll
only manage to follow about 10% of the conversations - perhaps rising to 30%
once you've watched all 5 series.

Hardly surprising, since Generation Kill and The Wire are the work of
    the same person.

I never said I didn't like it, just that it's not the "best thing ever" as
    touted by some reviews.
I agree with all you wrote, except I've not seen season 5 yet. I like the
fact it's not written to be warm and fuzzy. Deadwood was the same for me,
and quite a bit more compelling.
I've no problem understanding the characters, including a lot of the
street slang. I'm clearly more down wiv da kids in da hood.

Oh yes series 1, 2, 3, are good 4, 5 are a bit ropey but watchable. All
are available on an internet near you.
