    Hello dears.

After liaising with Platy and drawing on/abusing my employer's MET
office contacts, international flight data systems, various world
travel and weather guides I am pleased to announce a date for a UKRM
    Open House event:

BGN's BGBBQ is to be held on the Southern shores of God's favoured
county of Kent or East Sussex on Saturday 24th June. Probably in Rye
    or Camber during the afternoon.

BGWeather Forecasting Sources say that the day is likely to be blessed
with a high of 21C and a low of 11C (average of 16C), 70% humidy in
the morning and 58% humidity in the afternoon and should feature no
rain (or 1.5mm) or lots of rain and hurricanes, earthquakes and
serpents (although the latter occurrences are unlikely.)

The venue is yet to be decided and will depend on numbers. Please
reply here if you would be interested in attending. I'm not planning
on there being any kind of charge and hope there will be a Bring Your
Own agreement unless we can get something more concrete set up or an
agreement with a local pub to provide us with the area only and
something to cook on. BBQs on beaches would appear to be a bit of a
nightmare if done officially. A further invite will be posted closer
to the time with more information based on the numbers wishing to
    attend.

This invitation is extended to all with UKRM connections regardless of
gender, hair colour (or lack of), height (or lack of), weight, sexual
orientation (or lack of), credit rating and is even open to those of
us who do not (yet) have criminal convictions against their name and
is unbiased with regards to resident geographical location. A special
prize sponsored by The Host will be awarded to any employees of
Islington Parking Services who care to grace us with their presence.

    Thank you.

Please put me down for a large sausage, oh yes.

I do reserve the right to not turn up though, as I'll have completely
forgotten about this by April, let alone June.

Have I said yet whether I intend to come or not? 'Cos if I said yes
then you can forget I ever posted this, I know I probably will.

I think this is one of the weekends I don't have to work but I can't
check until I'm back in the office in ten days' time. So provisionally
    count me in.

Hello my Rye contact: Ypres Castle Inn - it has a diddy outside area
next to it, doesn't it? Having never been in the diddy area I'm
unsure of the full size but are we on good terms with the owners to
just reserve half of it for the afternoon and is there, by any chance,
something like a BBQ or an area for one which would allow us to cook
for ourselves only going into the pub should we seek liquid
    refreshment?

If enough alcohol is consumed, I doubt it ;)

    8th & 9th April:

Max of 13C, min of 4C. 71% humidity AM, 54% PM. 1.2mm of rain.

    EoSM is looking up though:

    19th & 20th August:

Max of 22C, min of 12C, 76% AM vs 62% PM but 2mm if rain of rain so
    I'm not fucking camping.

That sounds ok. As has been said already, a gentle reminder/nudge will
be needed at least every week for the last month leading upto it.
Wow, earthquakes and serpents; what a trip!
I'm interested in attending. I can bring stuff but it'll be a box of 24
somethingorother, you'll have to arrange the bread rolls because I won't
get anything else on my bike.

I reckon you've got two chances of a pub landlord letting you use their
    property for a BBQ only...

    Re: The official beach Barbie.

Why be official? Just turn up and do it. The idea of using a shopping
trolley was a good one as it's easy to get it to the rendesvous and it's
easy to leave it there, too :)

I hope that they will be willing to just charge for alcoholic
refreshment - I am not willing to entertain them charging for the food
itself. We just need a place to cook/burn sausages (or a few bricks
so that we can make our own).

Please let me know if there will be a fee for the afternoon.

No, the BBQ is *outside* the pub, YTC. Too much smoke otherwise.

    Hello sweetie.
Arse. All being well I'll be getting (someone else) somewhat squiffy
at a graduation thing. If all doesn't go well I might attend to get
out of the blast radius, but I wouldn't count on it.
