Better never than late? Manx GP piccies

Finally got round to ftping these somewhere public, so thought I'd
share them with you. Not very good, and all full size, but here we go:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /Manx GP 2007/img_0212.jpg on this
server.

 

I get the same 403 error as Cane - Forbidden.

Real Player works for me.

I get a 404 for these anyway.

I get error404 on these.

 

Quicktime will play them.

I don't understand what's going on. FTP shows they're there, but the
web server gives a 404. The raw files play fine I open them via FTP,
just the http: doesn't seem to like them.

Weird. I've renamed them to .txt and they're perfectly visible - must
be something funny on the server I'm using. Anyway, they open fine in
Windows Media Player now.

Directory permissions set OK?
Then I see that just renaming them made them visible - except they show
in RealPlayer as TEXT!

Rename them? But they're AVI files now, not WMV. That was a previous
failed attempt to compress them to make them visible.

Curiouser and curiouser!

Fine now, as long as downloaded first (as avi). Get displayed as text if
opened directly by RealPlayer (Hence my previous message).

Still can't see the still images though (403 error).

Yep. Renamed them back to wmv. WMP questioned them but played them
fine.

 

That's cos these ones are actually avi.

Mine plays them straight from the .txt links.

Have you got some kind of no-linking enabled?

Only I can't click on the links in Google Groups as it
gives me 403 Permission Denied each time, but if I copy
and paste the links they work fine.

It may be that it's a site policy to stop direct linking
(and thus hot-linking) to images, or maybe just links that
come from Google. Whatever, I'm not that interested in
looking at pics of Champ.

 

I did wonder about just emailing them to you...
