I'm not convinced that luck had much to do with it. I just set up a
search on eBay, watched the bikes at the right age/price, bid on a
few, and was prepared to let them go if they got too pricy. Then I
found one where it all worked out ok. I was perhaps fortunate that it
finished on Good Friday morning, but that was there for all to see.
