    hi folks,

remember me? on again off again obnoxious poster from Davis who
relocated to Austin, TX? well, in exactly 2 weeks, i'll be back in
    NorCal. yup, i'm moving back...to the valley...again. (dammit! i can't
get away from the valley!) i'll be living in Tracy and working in
    Livermore.

needless to say, i can't friggin' wait! i miss the roads so much.
there's no comparison between what's out here and what's out there.
i've pretty much given up on sport riding out here because of the cops,
lack of abundant twisty roads, the congestion on those roads available
and overabundance of crazy people in mammoth SUVs who hate anything
that has a GVW less than 6000lbs.

i still have the SV. just can't get rid of it as i love it too much.
i'll probably have to get a motard for Mines Rd, though. ;)

It's only about 10-20 cents cheaper in Austin, depending on where you
    go. It's bad all over. = /

Nothing I ride or drive requires more than regular. Thank god for
    modern engineering.

    Beffie! Welcome home.

You can have fun on Mines Road on the SV. And you can have fun
fighting the wind going over the Altamont pass...

Thanks, Alan. I'm not sure what to to call home anymore but that's how
it is when you've lived more than a few places in your life. I will
miss Austin a lot. Thankfully, my grandparents live out here so I
always have a place to stay if I need a good injection of real BBQ.

Yeah, the wind on the pass is pretty nuts. I've been out there a few
times for work and to look for a place to live. I had a Ford Crown Vic
the first time. No sweat. The second time I had a Ford Focus. I got
blown around a little bit more.

It'll make commuting to work more exciting.

I'm seriuosly consindering building a supermotard for Mine's Rd. Also,
hey, I've always wanted one. Either that or I'll go in the opposite
direction and get one of the new Speed Triples.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all again and finally meeting some of
    you. :)

I took rattletrap over the pass from the Valley into Livermore once.
The gusts shook the headlight right out of it's housing. I had to pull
over and find some wire to hold it in place. It was one of the things
that contributed to my decision to get a new motorcycle.
    Like I said...

I helped shlep her here, so I *know* you're right.

She's done Mines/Mt. Hamilton Rds. already, even, so watch out, local
yokels! And yes, there are plans in the making for Laguna Seca in July.
