Money - I'm notoriously hard to buy for.

My present to myself was one of those £10 mp3 players from tesco.

Only in exceptional circumstances backed up by medical evidence that can
prove your original birth gender was incorrect. It took two years of medical
reports, panel meetings, scans, medical tests, pyschology testing and a file
full of other information. Because the gender was incorrect the
innappropriate name on my birth certificate has also changed. [1] There are
less than two hundred people living in the UK who has done this. No doubt
    there will be more.

Are you thinking of doing it?

[1] It still show born in Wales and my original birthdate :(

Blimey. That must have been tough. I never knew it was possible. The
only thing I can question is, your name. How can that be classed as
inappropriate as after all, it is subjective. Lots of blokes [2] have
    girls names and v.v.
    Heh, not as yet.
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
You can't have it all. :)

    [2] John Wayne for example.

    Heh.

Currently, I appear to have avoided any bike DVDs. However, there's
still stuff to come from the inlaws on Wednesday..... I still haven't
watched the DVDs I was given last year.

I was givien the option because my name was considered male.

Interestingly, all records of my previous birth cert have been destroyed, by
the Registrar General. The only record that remains are contained in the
"Order" from the panel. This is kept by the panl and is now "Protected
Information" . A standard letter has been sent to anyone who has a record of
my previous details and you'd be amazed how many letter have been sent. This
letter is a warning remove previous records and not to disclose prior
information since failure to do so is a breach of the law and upon
conviction is subject to a level five fine. The same also applies to people
who uses my past identity in a manner considered homophobic.

    I can now:
    retire at 60
    have a reduced pension.
    marry a male
    be legally patronised.
