You can park a scooter in corners that car driver wouldn't see.

If you're concenred about safety but like the idea of a scooter get a
    BMW C1.

DO NOT LOOK AT THE RISK/MILE FIGURES WHILE MOTORCYCLING!

That's one of the basic mistakes that new bike riders make and the principle
reason that the figures are so high.

And if you're concerned about a BMW C1, but like the idea of
safety, then get a twat. And some prophylactics.

If what other people might think is what bothers you most, you'd best
play safe and not do anything that could be considered out of the
ordinary. People might even stare otherwise, and that would be awful.

Is it really dangerous at 615 (assuming you need to leavea bit earlier)?
Take a folder and use it at the other end as well.
Are there shower/changing facilities at work?If there are maybe you could
leave a suit there then and not have to travel in the trains &tube? wearing
one, assuming you do. If you dont, whats the problem?

    Nice try

Pedestrians killed on pavements by cyclists - about one every two years
Pedestrians killed on pavements by motor vehicles - about 50 a year
Pedestrians killed by falling over on pavements - about 100 a year
Pedestrians killed by motor vehicles - about 800 a year

So what you're saying is that if you stick to pavements you're twice as
likely to be killed by simply falling over than because you've been hit by a
    car. Pedestrians are very careless.
And we have to put up with cars designed to be less injurious to pedestrians
because of idiots like these who walk out into traffic. The new Peugeout
407, for instance, is horribly proportioned because of it.

Hitch-hike, and if the lift is going all the way to London, stay in it?

Some sort of kite propelled wheelie thing?

Or better, a sandyacht - steam gives way to sail so you wouldn't have to
    stop at junctions. Possibly.

    How about those kangaroo boots.

Or seduce one of the cleaners/clerks/porters at the station and get them
to pick you up on their way to work.
