Elbow pads won't 'flex - they seem to slip all over the place! Jackets a
tight fit too. Score 'em with a knife? Something else? It's a new(ish)
    Belstaff Excelsior.

'Bend' or 'form' I 'spose rather than 'reshape' would be a better
    description..

  4. Am I correct in assuming that the protectors are installed in pockets
which are attached to the lining of the garment? if so, that explains
the excessive movement, for which there is a solution - to affix
self-adhesive Velcro to specific points on the inner surface of the
outer shell, and then to affix impact protectors to this. The jacket is
fairly new, however, from what you have said, so you would be expected
to encounter warranty problems if the adhesive on the Velcro werer to
react adversely with any coating on the inner surface of the fabric,
    causing it to leak.

The tight fit (I assume in the vicinity of the protectors) is down to
the manufacturer. It is possible the distributor instructed their
subcontractor to "upgrade" an existing product to accept protectors,
but the manufacturer did not change the patterns to allow for this. The
result is normal sleeve fit with space meant for the wearer's arm taken
    up by impact protector.

Speak to Davies Odell (tel: 01933 410818), about obtaining a set of
their three layer "Armourflex" pads, which should be significantly
thinner than the O.E.M. protectors. They can be supplied fitted with
hook Velcro, and accompanied by self adhesive loop velcro, if you want
to try out the first solution, above.
